A multi-venue music festival in Kitchener, remembering singer/songwriter,
Joe Strummer 1952-2002 (of the Clash, Pogues, 101-ers, Mescaleros...),
promoting the indie music scene, and supporting suicide-prevention charities.

Strummerfest 2012 brought 22 bands to 7 venues - including an outdoor stage - on one cold December night, commemorating the 10th year since Joe Strummer's passing. We raised $2000 for charity. Every venue, band and crew member worked for free. With plans for pre-festival concerts and an even more stellar festival, Strummerfest 2013 seeks to do more. You can be a part of it. Attend its shows and, if possible, sponsor its efforts. For just $25 you can become a named sponsor and part of the new Strummerfest legacy.
